How the two jackpot types differ and what it means for play.
A fixed jackpot is a pre-set amount you can win at any time; it does not grow. A progressive jackpot accumulates from many players' bets and can reach huge values, but the chance of hitting it is correspondingly small, and part of the base RTP goes to the pool. Fixed jackpots are more predictable, progressives more lottery-like. Neither changes the fact that the casino has an edge over time.
