What basic strategy is and why it lowers the house edge.
Blackjack is one of the few games where decisions affect the math: basic strategy (the optimal action for each hand against the dealer's card) cuts the house edge to a fraction of a percent. It does not make the game profitable but minimises expected losses. Stake uses provably-fair rules; learn basic strategy and follow it instead of "gut feeling".
