How loss-chasing works and why it accelerates losses.
Chasing is the attempt to win back losses by raising stakes. Psychologically it is a natural reaction but mathematically destructive: the house edge does not disappear, and larger bets only increase variance and the speed of losses. The healthy approach is a pre-set loss stop-limit and a willingness to stop with no exceptions. If you catch yourself chasing, it is a signal to take a break.
