What EV is, why it is negative in casinos and how to use it.
Expected value (EV) is the average result of a bet over the long run. In casinos EV is always negative because of the house edge: on average you lose the built-in percentage on each bet. EV does not predict a single outcome but explains why a balance declines over long play. Understanding EV helps you soberly assess "strategies": if a game has negative EV, no betting sequence makes it profitable.

Remember: the casino has a mathematical edge over time, and provably-fair results are random. Any strategy manages risk but does not change expected value. 18+.
