How to read different odds formats and convert between them.
Odds come in three formats: decimal (2.00 — double your stake back), fractional (1/1 — UK style) and American (+100 / −150). All express the same thing: the probability of an outcome and the potential payout. Decimal is easiest for calculations: multiply your stake by the odds for the total return. The bookmaker margin baked into the odds is its edge, the same across all formats.
