Roulette — Stake Original Guide

Overview

Roulette is one of Stake's signature in-house games. European-style single-zero Roulette. Place inside or outside bets across the felt. House edge is a flat 2.7% on every bet.

The game runs on the standard Stake provably fair RNG with a 1% house edge baked into the math model. That puts Roulette among the highest-RTP games on the platform — significantly more player-favourable than third-party slots that typically sit at 95–96% RTP.

How it works

European-style single-zero Roulette. Place inside or outside bets across the felt. House edge is a flat 2.7% on every bet.

Provably fair verification works as follows: a server seed is generated and hashed before the round; the player provides a client seed; combined with a nonce, these inputs produce the random outcome. After the round you can verify it via Stake's provably fair page.

The math

RTP of 97.3% means that, theoretically, every $100 wagered returns $97.3 over an infinite horizon. The remaining $2.70 is the house edge.

The maximum theoretical multiplier is 36×, but reaching that requires extreme statistical luck.

Strategy

There is no strategy that changes the EV of Roulette. Strategies only change variance — how lumpy your wins are distributed.

• Smaller, more frequent bets reduce variance and let you play longer at the same expected loss rate.
• Larger, infrequent bets increase variance and produce a bigger spread of outcomes.
• Bankroll discipline matters more than any betting pattern.
