How to use these tools
Most casino games are negative-EV: the house edge guarantees that, on average, you lose money. Calculators do not change that. What they change is visibility — they show you exactly how big the edge is and how much variance to expect, so you can make informed decisions.
Three rules for using them well:
- Use real numbers, not aspirational ones. Your bankroll is what you can afford to lose, not what you wish you had.
- Calibrate before you bet. Run the numbers before you sit down at a session, not after you've lost half your stack.
- Variance dominates short sessions. A 96% RTP slot can return 0% in any single session. Long-term math is irrelevant if you bust early.
